I'm a royal but to what degree
Even crowned as your son I'm here 'til the nights done

How when a vampire is born do they know that the dawn brings pain
How when a vampire must feed do we feel such a need to survive and remain
A responsibility I know you can give to me, I may be young but I'm not dumb
I can help this colony, I can end this threnody, do you not put any faith in your son

Every single evening I am stuck believing
Things will always stay the same
They'll always keep me distant they'll always keep insisting
I don't deserve the anger cane

One day I feel empowered it seems so do the flowers
Because the moment daylight breaks
I find the roses stole it before I got to hold it
Such a problem that this makes

They asked me where I'd hidden it I'd never gotten rid of it
And yet I still got all the blame
They took away my crown and they kicked me out of town
Said they'd let me back in when I have the cane

But before my tired eyes I saw just before sunrise
A town of blooming crimson sin
The cane was taken there I felt it in the air
I beseeched the one in charge to let me in

How when a vampire's alone, been kicked off of their throne, do they succeed
'Cus when they're given a chance then they start to advance when they have what they need
A responsibility that you never gave to me, I may be young but I'm not dumb
I can take this colony, I can make a threnody, I have the cane and a queen I have won
